Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro, Galaxy C7 Pro Rumored For December Release; Devices Packs Larger Display, Higher Processor, Huge RAM Capacity [VIDEO]
BySamsung's two revamped smartphones, Galaxy C5 Pro and Galaxy C7 Pro, is expected to launch in December after a recent sighting in Chinese micro blogging site Weibo. As Pro versions of the Galaxy-C series, C5 Pro will carry a model number of SM-C5010 while the C7 Pro is going to feature the SM-C7010 designation.
SamMobile reported that China-based social media site Weibo released the information regarding Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro and Galaxy C7 Pro's release date. However, the leakster revealed little detail on the devices' specs.
Following the leak, the only piece of information on the device's features points to their processors. Galaxy C5 Pro is said to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 while the C7 Pro gets the higher series, Snapdragon 626.
In the past benchmark listings, C5 Pro and C7 Pro come with considerable improvements that includes improved battery life, additional features and a unique design.
According to GSMArena listing, Galaxy C5 sports a 5.2-inch display, powered by a Snapdragon 617, while the Galaxy C7 is a 5.7-inch phablet that features Snapdragon 625, which is newer chipset series that will show significant performance gain on the device.
The original Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 both boasted 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, so it can be argued that the upcoming C5 Pro and C7 Pro could receive a huge RAM capacity.
With both the original Galaxy C5 and the Galaxy C7 staying in the tech market for only about half a year, Samsung's plans on releasing the revamped smartphones will give users cheaper options that still maintains hardware and software quality. As per tradition, Samsung Galaxy C family is the affordable flagships category below the A series and S series.
On the other hand, rumors suggest that one of the Pro variants, the Galaxy C7 Pro, has already entered its testing phase in India. The variant is supposedly included in a batch of new devices that Samsung has sent to its testing center in the said country.
It has not been revealed if the two devices will be made available to the global market, as Samsung has yet to make an official announcement regarding C5 Pro and C7 Pro's details.
