A team of highly creative and popularly known business students from Grand Canyon University presented their well-researched storage app in an international competition. Fortunately, the Phoenix-based Storage Together App won 1st place in the International Smart City Hack in Barcelona, Spain.

A brainchild by GCU graduate Luke Amargo, aged 22, the student start-up mobile app allows people to build connection with other space owners. This has become a significant system nowadays since most technology devices people now buy are very fit for mobile purposes, Phoenix Business Journals reported.

Interestingly, the mobile app facilitates a sharing system between homeowners for storage. Storage spaces may include the garage, bedroom storage shed, etc.

Amargo, also the co-founder Chief Technology Officer has had thought of the idea way back in 2015 after his properties were damaged by a car accident. He sought of a method that would allow him to store his items. Thereof, he collaborated with 4 other GCU founders-Jedidiah Woods, Chelsea Evans, Braeden Scheer and Josh McGuire, AZ Central reported.

Subsequently, all four business students were present when the well-researched storage app was introduced in the International Smart City Hack in Barcelona, Spain. Quite surely, the app had everything the economy experts were looking for in these times.

Further highlighting their masterpiece, the students impressed the judges with a very concise and accurate data, proving that availing the Phoenix-based Storage Together App allows people to save up to 40% from the actual expense of having to buy an actual storage unit. The key element that proved most efficient in the app is the concept of shared economy, Inside Self-Storage reported.

With this, Amargo proudly precluded his team's win with a 5-minute talk. And, the rest was history.
