Players apparently have uncovered several hidden weapons secretly buried in "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" Remastered. Other players argue that the weapons are not part of an upcoming DLC pack.

According to the official website of Reddit, a member revealed that he and his friends have uncovered a few secrets in the game by data mining through the system files of "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" Remastered. The result was that they have uncovered more than 10 hidden weapons that were not playable through normal means.

The discovered weapons from data mining "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" Remastered were actually weapons from other "Call of Duty" games. Some of the hidden weapons are the melee shovel, five other melee weapons, several shotguns, rifles, and pistols. It also includes the "Call of Duty: Black Ops'" Galil assault rifle, PP2000 machine pistol from "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2," .44 Magnum revolver, the Striker semi-automatic shotgun, FAL assault rifle, and the KIamchatka-12 auto shotgun.

The "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" players who are also members of Reddit suggested that these hidden weapons could be part of a future downloadable content of the game. Some also suggested that it was really implemented in the past, but it was cancelled in the end due to several problems. These weapons are currently playable in-game, but several videos featuring the weapons have been taken off of YouTube due to copyright claims.

According to another post on the official website of Reddit, a member insists that the recent uncovered hidden weapons in "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" Remastered are not going to be a DLC. He said that the developers of the game have a long history of re-using code from previous games in the franchise. This means that they must have mixed up several codes from older games and inserted it in this game, which resulted in these hidden weapons.
