"Grand Theft Auto 6" in 2019?
According to the official website of Reddit, a member suggested that "Grand Theft Auto 6" might be released in late 2019 or in early 2020. Since "Grand Theft Auto V" was officially released in 2013 and the PC version was launched in 2015, a 2018 release date would be too early. Another member commented that it is a good point, but he wants the sequel to be released as soon as possible.
Another Reddit member said that "Grand Theft Auto 6" will be a while since Take Two Entertainment wants to take their franchises to have breaks. He said that before that video game comes out, another franchise will be making a return, and that turned out to be "Red Dead Redemption 2." He also thinks that the game will be released in 2021 or in 2023.
Current "Grand Theft Auto 6" rumors
Since there have been no solid clues on what "Grand Theft Auto 6" would be like in the future and with Rockstar Games not giving any hints, rumors have been floating around related to the game. One of the common rumors is that it might have a female lead in the future since all of the protagonists in the franchise were all males.
It was reported that the next installment will have a brand new city this time around. Los Santos was based on Los Angeles, so the next city will also be based on a real time city. Some fans want the next city to be based on a city from another country like in the United Kingdom.
