The analyst of a financial services group KGI Securities, Ming-Chi Kuo, stated that Apple Inc. plans to roll out two versions of the larger 5.5-inch iPhone when the tech company revamps the lineup in 2017.

One 5.5-inch version of the iPhone 2017 will come along with an LCD display, while a premium version will be available with an OLED display, which will be the first time in the iPhone's history. Even so, both the iPhone 5.5-inch 2017 versions will be up for grabs with a dual camera similar on the iPhone 7 Plus, Apple Insider reported.

Kuo stated that the two 5.5-inch versions of the iPhone 2017 are expected to start shipping among customers next fall. Kuo added that 65 and 75 percent of the upcoming iPhones will boast a dual-camera display.

Furthermore, the Cupertino-based tech company has been widely expected to launch a redesigned iPhone in 2017 to celebrate the 10th year anniversary of the platform. The rumor mill has suggested an upgraded OLED display, a wireless charging for the new models, and a glass back.

On the other hand, the Cupertino-based tech giant is currently exploring the idea of releasing digital glasses which resembles to what Google released just a few years ago. The smart glasses Apple is said to be developing will lean heavily on augmented reality, and will present information to its users by relaying information gleaned from an iPhone, according to Bloomberg.

Apple's Chief Executive Officer, Tim Cook, talked about augmented reality smart glasses in a July 26 conference call with analysts. Cook stated that AR can be really great, and they have been and continue to invest a lot in the technology. Cook also said that they are high on AR for the long run, and they think there are great things for customers, as well as a great commercial opportunity.
