‘Pokemon Sun and Moon’ News: Developers Talks Wide Array Of Topics; Pokémon's Splash Actually Good In Sun and Moon [VIDEO]
ByA great deal of "Pokemon Sun and Moon" developer interviews has been popping up online lately. Wherein, director Shigeru Ohmori and producer Junichi Masuda spoke on a wide array of topics.
In the latest issue of the multi award-winning Multiformat games magazine, GamesTM, Masuda discussed the different approaches to "Pokemon Sun and Moon" and "Pokemon GO." The producer stated that he was actually involved in the development of the augmented reality game as well. Regarding the Sun and Moon, Masuda stated that the heart of the video game is raising a player's Pokémon, battling Trainers and other players, Nintendo Everything reported.
Meanwhile, director Ohmori talks about Pokemon fan theories. Ohmori stated that the time they created the story, there are lots of different things that inspire them. Even so, what they do have is the players are really thinking deeply about the story of the video game, which is really interesting from their side, and they want to encourage Pokémon gamers to think about what Pokémon is all about.
On the other hand, Splash has long been scrutinized as a useless move in the Pokémon world, as "Pokemon GO" players used Splash, absolutely nothing happens, the move does not result in any damage, nor does Splash cause any status effects. In spite of that, the Splash move is seemingly going to change for "Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon," Splash is said to become one of the best moves in the games, according to Kotaku.
Anyway, one of the new distinctive attributes coming to "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" are Z-moves, which are technically a high-powered moves that Pokémon gamers can only use once for every battle. But, there are a number of conditions before launching a Z-move, a Pokémon must first learn a move that resembles a Z-Crystal, and it must carry the appropriate Z-Crystal.
