It's been confirmed that "Jessica Jones" Season 2 is highlighting girl power by enlisting an all-female roster of directors to direct the episodes. Are Jessica (Krysten Ritter) and Trish (Rachel Taylor), too, getting a new gal pal in the upcoming season?

Filming for Marvel's "The Defenders" is in full swing, and Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), Iron Fist (Finn Jones) and Jessica Jones are coming together to battle the yet-to-be revealed villain played by Sigourney Weaver. One of the first photos revealed from the set of "The Defenders" shows Jessica Jones meeting Misty Knight (Simone Missick). Although the photos doesn't say much about the plot and happenings in "The Defenders," it does indicate that Jessica and Misty's first meeting is not at all peaceful, Screen Rant reported.

Jessica appears to be worn down and has blood on her face, and it is presumed that Misty has been tracking her down through an investigation. It also seems likely that Misty may not have known Jessica's ties with Luke yet. It's also possible that Misty tracked down Jessica to help Luke, who was taken to Georgia to serve his prison sentence.

Jessica and Misty's meeting in "The Defenders" also leads to speculations that she may join Jessica in Hell's Kitchen in "Jessica Jones" Season 2. It was previously teased that some of the characters in "The Defenders" are going to make an appearance in "Jessica Jones" Season 2.

"My colleagues Marco Ramirez and Doug Petrie, who are doing Defenders, they've shared material. We've sat down for many conversations about what are they doing, what's happening with Jessica? They want my input, they want all the different showrunners' input on the characters that they're most familiar with," "Jessica Jones" showrunner Melissa Rosenberg told EW about how the story in "The Defenders" might leak into "Jessica Jones" Season 2.

Meanwhile, a lot of things are going to be explored in the sophomore season of "Jessica Jones," particularly Trish and Jessica's friendship. Also, there remains a lot of speculation as to who the next villain will be. Rosenberg teased that it is possible that there could be more than one antagonist in "Jessica Jones" Season 2.
