A new app attempts to bring the cool feature - exclusively made for Google Pixel - to Android devices.

Fingerprint Gestures app - a complete app that brings Pixel fingerprint's feature to Android devices

Fingerprint gestures are supposedly exclusive as it is made specifically for the Pixel phones. However, a new app that replicates the gesture features allows your Android smartphone to swipe down notification using the scanner.

The Fingerprint Gestures developed by SuperThomasLab is a cool app that makes any Android device 'feels like' a Google Pixel.

When Pixel arrived for the first time, some Android users are upset with the fact that the fingerprint gesture is only available on the device. With this new app, your phone can feel the magic that Google brings to Pixel, WccFtech reported.

What features will you get from the Fingerprint Gestures on Android device?

Installing Fingerprint Gestures lets users to customize gestures in three configurations. Single, double tap or swipe. These gestures can be used for multi-window feature, opening or toggling notification panel, opening recent apps or quick settings, working as a back or home button, viewing the previous song or working as a flashlight and many more.

If you root your Android device, there are more added features such as scrolling up and down while it's in sleep mode.

Android device requirements to use Fingerprint Gestures app

Not all devices are compatible with the app. Your Android has to be at least running Android Marshmallow and feature fingerprint sensor. The swipe gesture may or may not be working on a few devices as AndroidPolice finds in the ZenPad 3S 10. However, Nexus device such as Nexus 5X does not find any problem.
