The rechristened XBox Preview Program - now known as the XBox Insider Program - will soon be available to everyone, according to Microsoft's latest announcement. This means that XBox users could soon take advantage of system updates that are currently only available for Preview members, such as updates on Cortana, Messaging, Narrator, virtual keyboard, and more.
However, Xbox users who are not Preview members before will now get the chance to opt into previews of games and apps. Unfortunately, they still won't qualify to help test the XBox One system software updates. But what else can XBox users expect from the new XBox Insider Program?
What to expect from new XBox Inbox Program
The XBox Insider program will be introducing a lot of changes into the system. For one, it's begun fixing bugs and glitches into the Messaging app, which prevent users from sending messages. Cortana updates, on the other hand, focused more on better speech recognition for European users. A bug that causes apps that crash when launched via Cortana has also been addressed, according to DualShockers.
Other changes and improvements
What's interesting about the minor changes and refreshes in the new XBox Insider program is that it introduced changes based on fan feedback. VG 24/7 reported some of these tweaks, including a more personalized Insider dashboard to give XBox users prime access to games and apps and a new user interface.
It also introduced the new XBox Insider program profile card, which shows a user's contributions into the program and improved support for feedback. All XBox players should be able to get their hands on the new program over the next few weeks.
The new XBox Insider Program has been rolling out gradually across XBox users, starting with former Preview members first. Stay tuned for more news and updates regarding the new hub.
