Nokia Android Smartphone is expected to roll out before the year ends. Rumor has it that the handset will also feature QHD displays and Android 5.0 Lollipop. The device is also expected to be water-resistant and dust-resistant as well.

The Finland-based company is set on releasing the Nokia Android Smartphone before the other tech giants launch their flagship products in 2017. Nokia China President Mike Wang first revealed the android handset on the Chinese site The Paper. Nokia is believed to do well in the tech market once the smartphones are officially launched.

The Nokia Android Smartphone rumors claim that the handset will feature either a 5.2 inch or a 5.5 inch QHD display. Furthermore, the handset is said to include a 22.6MP camera, Snapdragon 820 processor and water and dust resistance features. The handset is rumored for a late 2016 release with prototypes reportedly available now.

On another note, HMD Global, the firm that acquired the rights to sell Nokia phones recently announced the launch of multiple devices in 2016 all through early 2017. HMD will reportedly launch two new phone products in Q4 of 2016 and two smartphones in Q2 of 2017. This lead to implications that the first two phones will be feature phones instead of the rumored Nokia Android Smartphone.

In other news, prior to the release of the Nokia Android Smartphone, the company recently acquired Alcatel-Lucent. Nokia was noted saying that it would commence elimination of complexity and costs of having to run two separate companies, Android Authority reported. Hence, the company released a joint entity.

The Nokia Android Smartphone is believed to be unaffected by this change since the company is said to have gone through a smooth transition that spanned over 19 months. Nokia has been operating the French company since January 2016. A recent statement revealed that the synergy targets from the deal may be expected in full by 2018.
