As Google has unleashed its new operating system Android 7.0 Nougat, Samsung confirmed that the OS update will roll out to Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy Note 5 before 2016 ends.

Samsung smartphone owners are definitely happy to hear the news, however, it is a fact that every smartphone owners want to test the Android 7.0 Nougat before 2016 ends. Fortunately for Samsung smartphone owners, the South Korean tech monster confirms that their devices will have the update.

Furthermore, Samsung Note 5 is the first Samsung device to get the OS Update. Surely, owners of Samsung Note 5 are delighted to know that in Korea and China, the Note 5 is being tested for the Nougat 7 beta version, according to Neuro Gadget.

Noting that Note 5 would be the first of the Samsung smartphones to get the update, it hinted that the other handsets of the tech giant would also receive the Nougat 7.0 update. And as expected, it was spotted that Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are already running tests for the new Android Software, so it can be concluded that the smartphones will also be getting the OS update.

All in all, Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy Note 5 will have the Android 7.0 Nougat update. As for Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, and S6 Edge Plus, the update seems to roll out in the first quarter of 2017. It has been said that Samsung J7 and Galaxy Tab S2 owners will also have the chance to get the OS update, MobiPicker has learned.

That being said, the first devices that received the Android 7.0 Nougat update were the Nexus devices of Google, which was two months ago. It is expected that the rest of Nexus devices will soon have a taste of the OS update.
