Android 7.0 Nougat can offer some data saving options to people with fixed monthly data plans. The latest Android OS is now available in various newly released branded smartphones.

Setting the Data And Quick Reply

The Android 7.0 Nougat allows monthly plan subscribers to save on their data. This is a nifty tip for people who have to make do with limited monthly data. First go to the Data Usage Settings and turn on the Data Saver. Users could also access it by taping its shortcut in the Quick Setting menu. The Data Saver will reduce the amount of data coming in and out to all apps. However, user can prioritize the app that will get the biggest data access by clicking the Unrestricted Data Access for that particular app. Android Nougat has included a Quick Reply option, according to the Android official site. Whenever a user receives a massage or an email, simply tap Reply to send a quick message back.

Put Those Apps On Silent Mode

Notifications are quite an annoyance if most of them are merely reminders from Facebook or Pinterest. User can choose three options namely, the default setting which is the noisy kind, silence notification or simply block the notification. The options can be accessed by going to that particular app notification and long-pressed it. User can also drag the notification to see the Setting menu.

Tinkering With The User Interface (UI) Tuner

Caution should be exercised when tweaking the user interface. A simple mistake can cause some unexpected results. Those willing to risk it can simply long-pressed the Setting Cog which is located in the Quick Setting section. Use will know if it's a success by the ensuing vibration. The split screen mode can be activated by swiping the Overview button in an upward fashion. The Power Notification Control will enable the user to assigned the level of priority for each app. The highest priority is level 5. The other apps will either be silenced or blocked.
