Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017), carrying the model number SM-J327P, has recently obtained a certification from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), indicating that the device has been cleared by all the major U.S. regulators.

According to Guide, the FCC did not release much information about the phone other than the FCC label, and the placement of it on the unit's battery compartment. As the FCC serves as the last stop of quality assurance, it could be hinted that the latest iteration on its "J" series should arrive soon.

Before passing through the FCC clearance, Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) was previously spotted at benchmarking website Geekbench and passed the TENAA equipments certification in China, Android Authority learned. Aside from that, India's imports and exports tracking site, Zauba, also recently cleared the phone for testing.

In the TENAA's listing, the Samsung Galaxy J3 2017 edition would come in two versions: the SM-J3119 for the Chinese market and SM-J3110 for international markets.

In addition, the Sprint variant of the Galaxy J3 (2017) has been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG website, implying that the handset has just received Bluetooth certification.

As for its internal chassis, the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) is expected to come with a 5-inch display with the processing handled by a Qualcomm's Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4Ghz and supported by 2GB of RAM, along with 16GB of expandable native storage. The Samsung J3 (2017) is also sporting an 8-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, autofocus and LED flash with a 5-megapixel front camera for snapping pictures and conducting video calls.

The handset is also equipped with a 2,600 mAh battery, and ships with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow pre-installed out of the box, which could be upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat update in the future.
