'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2' Trailer Just A Repeat Of The First Movie?; 'Doctor Strange' Launch To be Shown With Trailer [VIDEO]
By"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" first trailer has reportedly been launched by Marvel on Wednesday. This is James Gunn's upcoming movie sequel to his blockbuster, which recorded the highest gross in the United States in 2014.
The "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2" teaser will try to re-imagine the spirit of the original movie franchise by using the same Blue Swede song "Hooked on a Feeling" that has been featured already in the first movie. After highlighting a number of interplanetary scenes, the trailer reportedly concludes on a funny encounter between Chris Pratt's adventurer Peter Quill and former WWE wrestler Dave Bautista, who played the role of warrior Dax. Prior to the online debut of the movie trailer, Gunn reportedly tweeted a new poster for the movie.
"Guardians of the Guardians Vol 2" is expected to focus on family, as the whole gang embarks on a quest to find out the secret behind Quill's parentage. According to reports, Marvel studio teases new fan-favorite characters and allies from the classic comics that are likely making an appearance. The movie is set to have a US premiere on May 5, The Guardian reported.
Meanwhile, the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2's" full trailer will be shown with the cinematic launch of Marvel's "Doctor Strange," which will be released in the United Kingdom next week. Previously, a scene from the movie that shows Rocket Raccoon and Yondu, as they try to escape from the jail cell with the assistance of the adorable Baby Groot, was presented to the audiences of Comic-Con held in San Diego.
Following this was the film trailer that opened with the Fleetwood Mac hit "The Chain," with the Guardians fighting an inter-dimensional beast. Furthermore, the footage also featured the first release of Kurt Russell's Living Planet, who has been recently confirmed to be the father of the Star-Lord character.
"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2" is set to open in UK cinemas on July 31, Independent reported.
