Sony has confirmed the PlayStation 4 will feature voice command with its eye camera peripheral, Polygon reported.

"Sony Computer Entertainment can confirm that PlayStation Camera allows for voice recognition and we will look forward to sharing more details in the lead up to the launch of PlayStation 4," a Sony Computer Entertainment spokesperson told Polygon.

During the recent GameStop Expo 2013 in Las Vegas, Sean Coleman, Sony's group manager of retail training and advocacy, outlined various features of the PS4's camera capabilities.

"When you add the PlayStation camera into the mix, the pair works together to expand upon system features and enhance your PlayStation 4 experience," Coleman said. "The new stereoscopic lenses track your body movements in games or even recognize your face easier system navigation."

During the presentation, an on-screen description of the camera read: "From navigational voice commands to facial recognition, the PlayStation Camera adds incredible innovation to your gaming."

Polygon also reported the PS4 camera will be sold separately for an additional $59. The PS4 is set to be released just in time for the holiday season, on Nov. 15 in North America and Nov. 29 in Europe. The new gaming system will be priced at $399 and will feature a trove of upgrades from its predecessor.

All PS4 systems will feature a 500 GB hard drive while keeping "the body as slim and light as possible," Sony stated. The system will weight just over six pounds and will be ten inches wide by two inches high by 12 inches long.

The PS4 will come with two USB 3.0 ports on the front with HDMI and optical audio outputs on the back, as well as an Ethernet port and AUX for the PlayStation Eye camera. The PS4 will also not support composite or any other video output other than HDMI.

Sony confirmed the PlayStation Eye will not be included in the box. However, the following will be: one DualShock 4 controller, one earbud mono headset, a power cable, a USB cable and an HDMI cable.
