Since it was declared that Verizon was the only United States carrier selling Google's new Pixel smartphone directly. Verizon now says that they would not make Pixel smartphone owners wait regarding the gadget's Android updates.

The Verizon Wireless company made it known that all versions of the Pixel will be updated simultaneously. Operating system and security updates to the Pixel smartphones will happen in collaboration with Google.

Verizon claimed that the time Google releases an update, like iOS updates, Verizon smartphones will receive the same update at the same time. The wireless telecommunications company will not stand in the way of any major updates, and consumers will get all the updates at the same time as Google, according to Ars Technica.

Tech fans will be bliss out for the reason that a Verizon version of the Google Pixel is unlocked, wherein a person can use the device wherever they like. Also, there are three apps pre-installed on the Pixel phone, such as the Go90, My Verizon (user account management tool) and Verizon Messages (user messaging app). Anyway, all the pre-installed apps can easily be uninstalled by the user, The Verge reported.

In corroborating Verizon's statement about the updates, Google also confirmed that the Verizon Pixel smartphone would get updates simultaneously. Which means, OS updates and monthly security patches will be updated on all Pixel smartphones simultaneously, either a Verizon and non-Verizon versions, based on the report of Engadget.

However, the Pixel smartphone has a very bizarre relationship with the wireless company. In the United States, Verizon and Google are advertising the gadget as a Verizon Exclusive.

That being said, the unlocked Pixel devices are also up for grabs from Best Buy, Google Store, Target, and Walmart. If a person really wants to use the Pixel on Verizon, it is recommended to purchase the device unlocked and slapping in a Verizon SIM.
