Tyler Hoechlin brings not only Superman but Clark Kent, on The CW's "Supergirl" Season 2.

Things are looking good for "Supergirl" Season 2 in her new home. Where many have said she should have been in the first place. Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) The CW's new resident hero "Supergirl" gets a superhero visitor from none other than her super cousin.

Hoechlin is slated to appear in two episodes as Clark Kent/Superman in the premiere of "Supergirl" Season 2 after its move from CBS to The CW. Superman's appearance on the show has been a hot topic since he was alluded to and made brief appearances in several episodes.

Fans of the show have been talking since the announcement of Hoechlin being cast as the new Man of Steel last June. Photos of him in costume began circulating alongside "Supergirl." It's good to know that he will be appearing not only as Superman but he will also portray his alter ego Clark Kent as well. And based on one of the released trailers, Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) is more than elated Kara knows Clark Kent.

He was in Australia when casting was announced and news broke that he got the part. Although he is signed on to appear in only two episodes, he says he could be back. The decision are in the hands of other people, he added. To date, Hoechlin is the sixth actor to wear the iconic red and blue suit on television.

It would be an exciting fall season for The CW and fans expect to see promised 4 show-mega-crossover event as announced over at IGN last May. The 3-hour crossover event reported by Screen Rant features "Arrow," "The Flash," "Legends of Tomorrow," and "Supergirl."

"Supergirl" Season 2 premieres Monday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
