One of the successful anime series, "One Piece," has another new movie, "One Piece Film: Gold." The new anime flick will hit theaters in US and Canada in January.

In a press release site, Funimation announced the theatrical release of "One Piece Film: Gold," which is set for January 10 to 17. The latest "One Piece" is the 13th movie in the anime franchise.

The movie will be premiered in US and Canada theaters for a limited time, according to IGN. The publication added that the anime flick has $48.7 million at the box office in Japan.

The press release quoted a statement from Gen Fukunaga, CEO and president of Funimation. The CEO said, they are confident that the new film of "One Piece" will create a new generation fans for the franchise. He also added that the anime flick will grow audience in the United States and Canada.

Eiichiro Oda, the original manga creator, served as the movie's executive producer. He also produced "One Piece" franchise, one of them is the "One Piece Film Z," and even designed new costumes for the Straw Hat crew for the movie.

About the synopsis of the film, it reveals that the story will revolve around Straw Hat pirates and their high-flying adventure. As they travel, Straw Hat pirates will unfold an expected and new saga.

"One Piece Film: Gold" starts off to City Gran Tesoro, a special entertainment city with no government rules. The city is known as the anctuary of all the infamous world pirates, millionaires, and Marines.

Luffy, the leader and the protagonist of Straw Hats will travel Gran Tesoro city. As they sail for their journey, they will face dirty ambitions of the city's king in "One Piece Film: Gold."
