Redmi Note 3 vs Vibe K5 Note: Design and display
Both smartphones have unibody metal design. Vibe K5 Note is more of rectangular shape whilst the Redmi Note 3 has slightly curved edges.
In term of weigh and dimension, Vibe K5 Note is thinner and lighter than the Redmi Note 3. Other similarities include the rear camera placement, the LED flash and the fingerprint scanner. However, the Vibe K5 Note fingerprint sensor offers two gestures, long press or single tap.
Both phones sport 5.5 inch display with pretty good color production 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution but Xiaomi equips Redmi Note 3 with reading mode to make the display more comfortable for the eyes.

Lenovo K5 Note offers 13 MP (phase detection autofocus and dual LED flash) on the rear. K5 Note offers a few more features from wide angle shot to HDR mode. On the front, an 8MP shooter also captures decent selfies.
Moving to Redmi Note 3, the rear camera gets a 16 MP shooter with dual LED flash as for the front camera gets 5 MP shooter.
In terms of image quality, Redmi Note 3 camera seems to lack of details and seem to look flat. On the other hand, the Vibe K5 Note camera is able to display the details better. However, when it comes to color production, Vibe K5 Note tends to saturate the color - making the Redmi Note 3 images are closer to reality. In a low light condition, Vibe K5 Note does better resulting sharper images.
It seems that the Redmi Note 3 cameras result a softer image compared to the Vibe K5 Note. The selfie cameras also render differently and the Vibe K5 Note does better job with colors produced are close to reality. In term of sensor, processing and features, K5 Note is the winner

The hybrid phones do not offer dedicated slot for memory expansion. Note 3 and K5 Note run Android Lollipop OS. Redmi Note 3 sports hexa-core, Snapdragon 650 processor and Vibe K5 Note gets octa-core Helio P10, as listedn in GSM Arena.
On the interface, MIUI 8 is definitely ahead of Vibe UI when it comes to features but the Vibe is closer to Stock Android.
When it comes to processor, Redmi Note 3 is slightly better than Vibe K5 Note but the RAM management is better in Lenovo's handset. When opening apps, Xiaomi's device is slightly faster but the different is not significant. Unless you are a heavy gamer, it should not be an issue.
However, if you are an avid gamer, Redmi Note 3 is a solid choice because it's faster and more responsive, although the phone tends to heat when used for playing a heavy-graphics game.
