"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is not getting an update that will support 4K resolution, including other upgrades when played on a PS4 Pro. This was recently announced by the game's publisher CD Projekt Red.

Now, "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" can be included in the list of games without PS4 Pro support, which makes the fans very disappointed. According to the game publisher, it would be likely to release a 4K resolution update for the game on PS4 Pro, however, would eventually become a drain on the resources. Instead, CD Projekt Red reveals the plan to work on new projects, instead of paying too much attention on a finished game, which has used up the studio's time for years now.

Although "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" will not support 4K resolution on PS4 Pro, there are still several other games that will be receiving patch to do that. However, it remains unclear if these PS4 Pro compatible games would be enough to make up for the absence of 4K resolution when playing "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" on a new console. Meantime, CD Projekt Red is likely to provide the much awaited "Cyberpunk 2077" at a faster pace, which the studio hopes the fans of "The Witcher" will turn their focus into for now.

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is now playable on Xbox One, PS4 and the PC, Polygon reported.

Meanwhile, the launch of the new PlayStation 4 Pro console may still be months away, but the gamers are already waiting for the opportunity to try out its new features. Additional information is starting to come from Sony regarding the console's new features.

Based on reports, one of the PS4 Pro upgrades is the 4K resolution, including enhanced visuals and faster frame rates. Sony, on the other hand, revealed some names of the games that are confirmed to be receiving the PS4 Pro upgrade patch benefits. Among these are: "Paragon" and "Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor," Gamespot reported.
