"The Seven Deadly Sins: Signs of Holy War" finale was followed by a commercial of the upcoming "The Seven Deadly Sins" Season 2. This could mean that the production for the upcoming season has already started which will reportedly feature new adventures and new battles that the main protagonist and his comrades will face.

"The Seven Deadly Sins" manga's lead persona is Meliodas, whose character was highlighted in the teaser shown at the end of "The Seven Deadly Sins: Signs of Holy War" Episode 4. Gowther, Elizabeth Liones, Merlin,Ban, King, Diane are also seen in the said teaser. However, no further details on the upcoming season have been revealed.

"The Seven Deadly Sins" Season 2 has been reported to have been based on the original storyline of the manga series of the same name created by Nakaba Suzuki, Anime News Network reported. The manga was published on the Weekly Shonen Jump which was first released on Oct. 10, 2012.

Additionally, the first volume of "The Seven Deadly Sins" manga was released for the public on February 2013, while its second volume was launched on April 17, 2013. The third volume, on the other hand, became available on June 17, 2013 and the fourth volume was made available on Aug. 16, 2013.

"The Seven Deadly Sins" was then adapted into a TV anime series which began on Aug. 28, 2016 and ended on Sept. 28, 2016. The first season of the TV anime series only had four episodes in it.

Meanwhile, the first Blu-ray/DVD volume of "The Seven Deadly Sins" is expected to launch on Jan. 11, 2017, OZY reported. Every purchase will reportedly come with an advanced ticket form for the daytime session of "The Seven Deadly Sins Fes" event.

"The Seven Deadly Sins" second Blu-ray/DVD edition volume is also slated to be released on Feb. 8, 2017. Every purchase will also come with an advance ticket form for the event but it will be for the night time session this time.
