The world has not yet done with iPhone 7 'rather old' specs and now Apple superfans have to receive another surprising news - iOS 10 could be prone to hacking. Is it good news or bad news?

Elcomsoft published a post on iOS 10 security weakness

A developer discovered a security flaw in iOS 10. Developer Elcomsoft claims that the attack is able to 'bypass security checks' in the backup protection system in its latest OS. Describing it in detail in Elcomsoft blog, it said that the new backup mechanism system eliminates a few of security checks.

This makes the iOS 10 easier and faster to crack than the iOS 9 and the older iOS versions. Explaining how fast the crack can be done, the Russian company claims it could be about 2,500 faster to crack iOS 10 than to do it in iOS 9.

With Apple reducing the security check layers, it would be easy for the professional hackers easier for them to crack backup logins in PC or Mac, Forbes wrote. This also means that they can accelerate the backup password-guessing 40 times faster

Security flaw in iOS 10 is not new as Pangu jailbreaking team has demoed it during MOSEC event when the Apple OS was still in its earliest Beta version, University Herald reported previously.

Don't worry, Apple is rolling out iOS 10 update patch soon

It is definitely not a good news but Apple has already been aware of the encryption strength issue. The Cupertino giant plans to release a security update and saying that 'this does not affect iCloud backups', Trusted Reviews reported. However, the tech company advises iOS 10 device users to protect their PC and Mac with strong and unique passwords.
