Zealous fans of Square Enix's upcoming action role-playing game dubbed, "Kingdom Hearts 3" have been waiting with bated breath for the game developer to shed more light on the highly anticipated title; however, the gaming studio has opted to remain tight lipped, but things are likely to change soon.

While avid gamers are starting to get aggravated citing the lack of information about the imminent "Kingdom Hearts 3," it looks like they won't have to long wait too long for Square Enix to finally sheds more light on the highly-anticipated game.

Earlier this year, Tai Yasue, director of "Kingdom Hearts 3" told VentureBeat that taking the hype surrounding "KH3" into consideration; they want to make sure that everything is right. Moreover, Yasue noted that they do not underestimate the importance of rolling out game-related news at the right time. The same goes for unveiling Sora's next adventure.

"We want each announcement to be special," Yasue said.

Basically, they are trying to exceed the expectations of the game's diehard fanbase. Yasue added that they want to plan things out.

That being said, it's been more than a couple of months since Tai Yasue said these words, but no single information regarding the game has been divulged until now. But if rumors doing rounds are anything to go by, fans might not have to wait for too long before new information finally surfaces.

'Kingdom Hearts 3' Delay Delayed

According to multiple sources, Square Enix is currently concentrating on "Kingdom Hearts 2.8 HD Final Chapter Prologue," which is slated to hit the store shelves in January 2017. With the said title been released, optimistic fans are hoping that the game studio will shift its focus on to "Kingdom Hearts 3," ChristianToday reported.

'Kingdom Hearts 3' To Be A PS4 Exclusive?

Square Enix has neither denied nor confirmed speculations hinting that "KH3" will be released only to PlayStation 4, much to the dismay of Xbox One users.

Not too long ago, Xbox One listing for "Kingdom Hearts 3" disappeared from the official Japanese Xbox Store, stirring speculations among avid gamers that "KH3" will not be launched on Xbox One. Meanwhile, listing for the game remains on the studio's website and in the Microsoft Store. There's also a possibility that the one on the Xbox Store is just a technical glitch.

Despite "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" being PS4 exclusive, Yasue said that the game will come on both platforms.

In other words, though Xbox One users will get to play "KH3," they won't find out more details about the title via the prologue collection. However, the loss doesn't seem to be much.

"Kingdom Hearts 3" is without doubt, a game that will be better if you are well acquainted with all the other stories; however, you can still enjoy it without following the whole arc, Yasue noted.

If rumors proved to be true, "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be released early 2017.
