Microsoft announced about a month ago that they plan to bring Xbox Wireless tech to PCs as well as to other gaming accessories that starts with the IdeaCentre Y710 Cube of Lenovo. Today, the tech company level up their thoughts as the controller will now support Samsung's Gear VR headset.

The Xbox Wireless Controller will soon work with the South Korean company's phone-driven virtual reality (VR) device. "Minecraft: Gear VR Edition" will be the first to utilize the feature, but eventually video gamers will be able to use the feature on any Gear VR title with controller support, according to Engadget.

To make use of this amazing synergy, Microsoft has just pitched in a software update for the controller, which can be administered from a person's Xbox One or even on Windows 10 PC. But, gamers will need the latest version of "Minecraft's" Gear VR edition, based on the report of The Verge.

As the Xbox One controller will also be able to run video games that are already controller-enabled on Gear VR eventually. The games will include the VR action/adventure game "Herobound," "Omega Agent," as well as "Spirit Champion" and "End Space." Microsoft made it known that more news will be pitching in on the release timing in the coming months.

However, Gear VR supports numerous Android phones, which include the Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge+, S6, and the Galaxy S6 Edge, Game Spot reported.

Anyway, as the Gear VR version of "Minecraft" is already up for grabs, an update on October will turn over the switch on the controller compatibility. Gamers will need to make sure they have the latest update for the Xbox accessory.

When the game update arrives next month, gamers will need to download it and connect the controller through Bluetooth to start playing.
