‘Pokémon Go’ News & Update: ‘Pokémon Go’ Is Far From Over, More Features To Come, Find Out Here!
ByThe pandemonium of Nintendo's Pokémon is far from over, the company confirmed. Pokémon Co.'s chief executive stated that his company plans to create games for the next-generation system of Nintendo Co.
The chief executive of the Nintendo-affiliated Pokémon Company, Tsunekazu Ishihara, which licenses the branding and merchandise of the Pokémon franchise, stated that the augmented reality game "Pokémon GO" was just the start of something bigger, based on the report of the Wall Street Journal.
Ishihara said in a statement that they will make games for the Nintendo NX, in which the Nintendo NX is trying to change the concept of what the gadget means to be a home console device or a handheld machine. But, Ishihara declined to say whether the video games would be available when the Nintendo NX console first goes on sale.
The chief executive of the Nintendo said more features were planned for "Pokémon Go," which includes player-to-player battles as well as character trades. These "Pokémon GO" features will come slowly to stay away from the overwhelming entry-level players.
However, it's not surprising that Pokémon is likely to be a part of the NX, given that the Japanese tech company Nintendo is more or less in charge of marketing and distributing Pokémon products. But, the potentially revealing is when Ishihara talks about the nature of the NX, according to Business Insider.
Anyway, as "Pokémon GO" has been downloaded more than 500 million times since it hit the market, Ishihara said that he feels like the reaction they saw was 10 times or even 100 times bigger than they expected.
In addition, Niantic, "Pokémon GO" developer, made its Pokémon GO Plus accessory available for download on September 16. The add-on allows "Pokémon GO" players stay connected and keep playing the app via Bluetooth once the video game is no longer visible on their smartphone screens, Fortune reported.
