Galaxy S8 is rumored to have an early launch due to Galaxy Note 7 recall. Apart from that, it is more interesting to find out if the foldable Galaxy X is indeed, Galaxy S8.

Samsung Galaxy S8 could be the foldable Galaxy X?

Previously, there has been a leak on patents filed by Samsung which is a foldable smartphone screen. And another rumor also claims that there will be Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge, including the Galaxy X released next year. However, investigating all of these rants - there could be a possibility that the Galaxy S8 itself will feature foldable screen.

There have been two codes spotted - which many have assumed that the numbers are for Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge. However, the two could be the codes to differentiate the regions they're likely released at, KnowYourMobile reported.

Samsung Galaxy S8 rumored specifications

Based on the previous leaks, Galaxy S8 is said to feature dual camera sensor, like the iPhone 7 Plus - and 4K display. The Galaxy X rumored specs corroborate the speculation since it is also speculated to sport 4K display, a Snapdragon chipset with octa-core CPU and a spacious RAM of 6 GB.

Samsung Galaxy S8 possible release date

Galaxy S8 is rumored to be launched sometime in 2017 alongside the foldable Galaxy X. However, Samsung is unlikely to launch two different smartphone series (each with special feature) at the same event. This could also mean that the 2017 will be the schedule for the folding Galaxy S8 launch.

Apart from that, 2017 seems to be the perfect timing since Samsung has just unveiled Galaxy Note 7 this year. And with the new foldable screen - Samsung might need to complete major tasks before finally unveil the product to public. A folding display would be a dramatic overhaul in a smartphone history.

So far, no official statement has been announced by Samsung. As far as the price is concerned, Trusted Review speculates that Samsung Galaxy S8 would cost about $770. If rumor of folding display is true, then it is obvious that Samsung will significantly up the price.
