The South Korean tech giant could be rushing to the release of Galaxy S8 to 'mend' the wrongs in Galaxy Note 7. According to GSM Arena, Galaxy S8 is hoped to bring back the positive brand perception.
Meanwhile, another rumor has gone viral - stating that the codenames for Galaxy S8 are Dream and Dream2. An internal source who spoke to SamMobile said that there are two model numbers: SM-G950 and SM-G955. Although the legitimacy of this information is doubted, Android Authority has speculated that the numbers are for Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Edge.

Galaxy S8 is rumored to feature 4K display, Super AMOLED. It could have Snapdragon 830 processor with 4GB of RAM. Samsung is fond of Not giving its flagships a huge battery cell. Hence, it can be argued that Galaxy S8 could only pack 3,500 mAh with possibly, Android Nougat as the operating system.
Other speculations on its components include the fingerprint sensor, USB type C and Google Daydream VR-compatible. Wittyfeed predicts that Galaxy S8 could come with liquid cooling technology that may tackle overheating problems found in Galaxy Note 7.
The camera department will likely get dual lens for the rear shooter as this has been a viral rant circulating in Weibo. UH News investigated the rumors and found that Galaxy S8 could feature smart-glow light whilst the foldable Galaxy X will get Bio-Blue display that can significantly reduce the bluelight.

A previous leak also suggests another smartphone to be released alongside Galaxy S8, that is the foldable Galaxy X. The possible release date of Samsung Galaxy S8 would be in early 2017.
