As the election day is about to come, "South Park" Season 1 Ep. 1 tackled Colin Kaepernick Scandal, and Donald Trump's campaign, TVLine reported.
The first season is titled "Member Berries," criticized how the media covered the scandal of Colin Kaepernick and other American athletes' protest of the "The Star-Spangled Banner." The episode also mocked the presidential campaigns of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. It also mentioned and made comments about nostalgia and reboots.
The first trailer of "South Park" Season 2 was titled "South Park is BACK!" and the second trailer is titled "Who Are You Voting For?" The second trailer shows a glimpse of a pollster visiting the Marsh residence.
The episode "Member Berries" started with a national anthem just like in trailer 1. As the national anthem was still playing, the girl's volleyball team took their seats.
There was an online troll under the name "skankhunt42" harassed the girls, thus, made them decide to protest.
Aftermath the protest, the U.S. government decided to make a new national anthem, which will be composed by J.J. Abrams. Randy Marsh learned the rebooting of the national anthem and he's not happy with it.
Later on, there was a pollster arrived at Marsh residence to ask about the upcoming elections. The poll updates showed that Mr. Garrison and Caitlyn Jenner were leading-meaning there's a chance that either Jenner and Garrison would win in the election.
