President of Sony's SCE Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, announced that the upcoming action-adventure video game "The Last Guardian" will be delayed until December 6. Sony boss Yoshida said that the development team encountered more bugs in the final stages of development.

Yoshida made it known that as the video game for PlayStation 4 was fast approaching major milestones in production, the development team made a choice to delay it a bit further, according to PlayStation.

"The Last Guardian" will feature a boy (controlled by the gamer) along with his giant sphinx-like companion, who drifts their way through an astounding, puzzle-like levels. "The Last Guardian" seems to resemble PlayStation 2 video game "Shadow of the Colossus," in which a player can cling to their animal companion, clambering around its feathered bulk and guiding the creature to help the gamer level up.

"The Last Guardian" was originally to be featured on the PlayStation 3 in 2011, but something came up with the company and was for a while thought to put to an end, based on the report of TIME.

However, since the tech company revealed the video game in 2009, "The Last Guardian" has undergone numerous delays in production. With the game director Fumito Ueda announced his exit as a Sony employee in December 2011. But Ueda later confirmed that the action-adventure video game was still under his creative supervision in 2013, Anime News Network reported.

That being said, the action-adventure video game for PS4 delivers on the experience that the game's creators have envisioned, but the development crew need to take the extra time to work on some issues. As the video game's development continues to push itself to the fullest, Sony is looking forward to reveal new and exciting content toward launch.

Anyway, the tech company debuted a trailer for "The Last Guardian" before the new delay.
