The location-based augmented reality game, "Pokémon GO," may be one of the most-downloaded mobile games of all time, but the mobile game company Niantic is dropping users every day.

The "Pokémon GO" team has seen the cutoff of the users, and they are now adding a few features that were previously announced, the Buddy Pokémon and Pokémon GO Plus support. But, the rooted Android devices as well as jailbroken iOS devices are now blocked from loading the video game up.

The latest update of the augmented reality game tries to revive some of the lost crowd, but in the typical fashion of Niantic, the tech company goes with the strategy of one step forward and two steps back, based on the report of XDA Developers.

As the latest update of "Pokémon GO" will feature the virtual creature that appears on the player's profile page, Pokémon Buddy, it will give Pokémon gamers candy rewards for its species if they walk a certain threshold distance with the creature activated as a buddy.

While Pokémon GO Plus support is also added in the update as well, it will assist Pokémon players in finding Pokéstops and Pokémon. The support was revealed in June and will be up for grabs in most countries on September 16. Other changes will include an easier choice of more minute Pokémon, better performance when devices switch between Wi-Fi and mobile networks, as well as Eggs will hatch without animations, according to Android Police.

However, in the other post of Android Headlines, it made known that in playing "Pokémon GO" 0.37+, first, the player must install Magisk, and in doing so, it will also enable Android Pay. Once done installing Magisk, go to Magisk Manager and turn off root with the Root Toggle. When a person is done playing and want root access back, that "Pokémon GO" player will just simply re-enable it.
