There are no major surprise in the recent iPhone event, considering the details about the new iPhone leaked in advance. The most unexpected part of the event was the announcement of the "Super Mario" game will come to iPhone.

Following the surprise appearance of Shigeru Miyamoto (Mario creator) at Apple's iPhone 7 event, Miyamoto made it known that the upcoming side-scrolling, auto-runner platform game, "Super Mario Run," will be released for iPhone and iPad this December.

Miyamoto, who also created the iconic "Donkey Kong" and the Zelda series, was even on hand to introduce the new game "Super Mario Run." As the new video game will be launched first on the iPhone, the video game will eventually come to Android, according to The Verge.

While the appearance and the announcement of Miyamoto were a surprise, the new embrace of Nintendo for the iPhone is years overdue. As the Japanese tech company had stubbornly resisted porting their most significant assets to mobile phones. Nintendo hoped that it could still convince tech fans to purchase Nintendo devices.

However, the fact that the Japanese tech company hasn't unleashed a new Mario action video game since 2013, Nintendo intended to let gamers know that it is the new Super Mario. The video game seems to be well-designed for the iPhone interface.

The investors of the "Super Mario Run" claimed that the video game will be sensational. Considering the size of the installed base, "Super Mario Run" has the potential to be the most-played Mario game ever. The video game is putting the tech company where its audience lives, Wired reported.

Furthermore, as consoles are going to be an important slice of Nintendo's business, the tech company is still releasing the NX in 2017. The Kyoto, Japan based company still has a couple of successful handheld consoles that came from the Nintendo DS family, based on the report of Forbes.
