With Sony's newest console Playstation 4 Pro, Microsoft claimed that Xbox Project Scorpio is still the most powerful console when it comes to performance. However, Sony will have its advantage when it comes to price. Though Xbox Scorpio specs remained undisclosed, reports claimed that it will outbox Sony's Playstation 4 Pro.

Sony will release the PS4 Pro this coming November according to their latest announcement last two days. With this, Microsoft is expected to release their Xbox Project Scorpio by the end of 2017 or earlier than that. Though the released of the two consoles have been a year apart, International Business Times revealed a spec comparison between PS4 Pro and Xbox Project Scorpio when it comes to power, virtual reality performance, 4k content and even the price.

Power

Microsoft has been very aggressive in saying that Xbox Scorpio will be the most powerful console ever with its six teraflops of computing power compared to PS4 Pro computing power of 4.20 teraflops. And it is expected to be more powerful with the additional developments over a year before the release.

Virtual Reality

No exact comparison for the VR support as Microsoft did not announced which VR device it would support and it is expected to be more powerful. But it is already cleared that Sony PS4 will support the PlayStation VR.

4k Content

Sony has announced PS4 Pro will not support native 4k such as Blu Ray discs because of the fact that PS$ Pro GPU has lacks the horsepower to render native 4k challenging content. However, it will support 4k media streaming such as Netflix and YouTube apps which eventually has a resolution increased of 1080p. On the other hand, Microsoft has not given any information regarding the 4k content whether or not they will support native 4k.

Price

Sony PS4 Pro is competitive enough to come off with the announced price. But for Microsoft's end, it would be very difficult to be at par with Sony's figure given that Xbox Project Scorpio rumored specs are super-powerful.

With the tough competition between the two consoles and having a year apart for the release, Trusted Reviews said in a report that Sony has the possibility to come up with a third console to respond to the upcoming powerful console of Microsoft in the year 2017.
