"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" new details, including its plotline, have been provided by the Entertainment Software Rating Board. According to reports, the ESRB rated the game recently, and a story synopsis have also been released along with the rating.

Based on a screenshot shared by user Wario64 via Twitter regarding the synopsis, it seems that the main protagonist of the game will be a character named Ethan, who goes looking in a run-down mansion for his missing wife. Also, the game summary provides the players a look at a few weapons that they can use in the game such as shotguns, pistols, explosives, chainsaws and flamethrowers, Digital Trends reported.

In addition the cutscenes of the game are expected to be gruesome and very violent. The "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" game's cutscenes also are going to contain a lot of violence and gore.

The "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" takes place in a plantation house located in Louisiana and owned by Marguerite and Jack Baker. The public has not seen the couple for several years now, and their house is being rumored to be haunted.

Meanwhile, some reports indicate that Leon S. Kennedy will not be part of the game series' 11th installment. This was also confirmed by the character voice actor Matt Mercer, who stated in an interview that his exclusion was due to the studio's cutting back on cameos. But the voice actor also added that he looks forward to reprise his role should Capcom ask him.

Moreover, Capcom is also expected to bring the game to the Tokyo Game Show on Sept. 15 to 18, which means the players can have the opportunity to see more of it during the event.

"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is scheduled for release in January 2017 and will be playable on PS4, Xbox One, Windows PC and with complete PS VR support for the PS4. The game has been rated M for mature, VineReport reported.
