By"Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria will join the CW's satrical comedy-drama telenovela, "Jane The Virgin" Season 3. However, she will not portray any character in the upcoming season, but she will direct an upcoming episode.
Longoria is set to helm the third episode of "Jane The Virgin" Season 3. Recently, Justin Baldoni, the actor who plays Rafael Solano, shared a series of photos of the cast on a set on his Instagram account, IB Times reported.
In one photo, he and Gina Rodriguez, the actress who portrayed the role of Jane Gloriana Villanueva, the protagonist of the story, took a selfie with kids in the background. Baldoni captioned the photo, "TV family fun #JanetheVirgin."
Another photo shows Baldoni and Rodriguez gave each other a high-five with the two Lexus cars beside them. Then the last photo a selfie of the cast with "Desperate Housewives" star.
Longoria was spotted in a floral dress with her husband Jose Baston. The couple was spotted at Nobu on Friday night, on August 26, in Malibu, California, according to Just Jared.
The 41-year-old actress, Longoria confirmed via Twitter that she will direct the third episode of season three, "Chapter Forty-Seven."
"Ohhhhh can't wait! Jane The Virgin get ready!" she tweeted.
In the last episode, Michael Cordero (Even Dier) was shot by a mole, Susanna, who is actually the Rose in disguise. So those who follow the story of this TV series are curious about the fate of Michael.
In Season 2, Jane and Michael got married. Supposedly, the newly weds will have their first honeymoon, however, Michael was shot.
What to expect in Season 3 is the new man that will join the love triangle shared by Jane, Rafael, and Michael. TV Line revealed that Miles Gaston Villanueva has been cast as a new character named Sam, Jane's childhood crush, who was described as "intellectual and sexy."
"Jane the Virgin" Season 3 will be aired on Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
