As people are waiting for the soon to be launched iPhone 7, analysts are said to predict a lukewarm reception for the smartphone. But for those individuals who are willing to wait it out, Apple's 2017 iPhone 8 is gearing up to be an incredibly intriguing handset.

A report surfaced that the 2017 iPhone, widely known as the iPhone 8, will hit the market without a mechanical home button. As Apple Inc. is already working on a major redesign of the iPhone for 2017. Where the tech company is focusing more heavily on the display by ditching the Home button, according to Value Walk.

Rumor has it that the 2017 iPhone 8 will come along with an edge-to-edge display, and the smartphone will have the possibility to be the third iPhone model with a curved OLED screen.

It has been speculated that iPhone 8 will have a new form factor, as the upcoming 2017 smartphone is completely removing the chin and forehead of the handset. The entire face of the device will be the display, and the Touch ID sensor will be somehow embedded in the display.

The 2017 iPhone model is slated to roll out in September of 2017, BGR reported.

On the other hand, due to iPhone 7's faulty components, the tech company's soon-to-be-released new model of its iPhone may need to contend with a supply shortage at launch.

With that, if the tech company sticks to its launch schedule like in 2015, there may not be enough supply of the smartphone at the beginning, as some suppliers are still trying to patch up the low yield rates of their components, according to 9 To 5 Mac.

The main reason why analysts are lowering their expectations during Apple's expected launch of the iPhone 7 next month, is due to the smartphone's defective waterproof speaker and dual-camera module.
