Apple's MacBook lines are so popular not only because it is trendy and it has a sleek design. The MacBook Pro and MacBook Air can be one of the most powerful and most efficient device out in the market today, given the right amount of knowledge.

In 2015, Apple released the Mac OS X El Capitan. It was the beginning of the powerful MacBook devices. The Cupertino-based company then started focusing on the quality of the operating system including its performance and all its features, MacWorld reported

The Mac OS X El Capitan started off with adjustments on its interface and its new full-screen view. There were also improvements on some of the built-in applications such as Notes, Safari, and Stoplight. The arrangement of windows on MacBook Air and MacBook Pro was also changed. But with some research, there are still tricks that these devices can do which cannot be openly seen, according to iTech Post.

There is a double window feature that can be accessed in the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. First, the user must open a window and then hold the green button until the window gets smaller. A blue portion will then appear after the window gets smaller. The small window can then be moved to this small blue area so that another window can be added on the other half of the screen.

To switch between windows, MacBook users simply need to hold the ⌘ plus the tab button. To open the desired window when there are multiple windows open, the user only needs to press the button multiple times until the chosen window appears. There is also another trick which allows users to switch between windows from inside an application. To do this, the user would need to use the ⌘ plus the ~ button. Also, the users can switch windows by sliding three fingers through the touch pad. This opens smaller versions of the activated windows allowing the user to choose his desired window.

Also, switching between tabs is much easier with the MacBook. The ⌘ plus T will open a new tab while the ⌘ plus W will close it. To retrieve a closed tab, the user can use the ⌘ + Shift + T button.

Another feature of the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air is the Finder feature. Unfortunately, this feature often gets buried in multiple applications and featured. Thanks to Spotlight, searching is now easier, be it on the device or on the web.

Finally, taking a screenshot is now easier in both MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. The buttons ⌘ + Shift + 3 captures the entire screen while the ⌘ + Shift + 4 allows the user to capture a portion of the screen.
