‘No Man's Sky’ PC Release Date Pushed Back? The Much-Anticipated Game Confirmed To Launch Worldwide On PC On August 12!
ByThe upcoming action-adventure survival game, "No Man's Sky" is without-a-doubt one of the most anticipated games of 2016. While the game's PS4 release date is set for Tuesday, August 9, PC gamers haven't been quite sure when to expect the game.
The turmoil stemmed from the website of Hello Games listing the game's PC release as August 12 a couple of weeks ago, contrary to its Steam page that still had the game listed for release on August 9 apace with the PS4 version, GameRant reported.
Hello Games founder Sean Murray took to his Twitter handle (@NoMansSky) on August 6 and officially confirmed that "No Man's Sky" on PC is slated to hit the store shelves worldwide on August 12.
In a slew of tweets, Murray explained that the studio is concentrating on making the game on PC the best version they can as reason for the date, which pushes back the PC launch in North America to a few days after the PS4 release of the game.
Murray further added that the PC release date is something the studio is "working extremely hard on."
Rumors doing rounds had previously hinted the date, but Murray rubber stamped the rumored worldwide launch date via series of tweets. He went on to explain that Hello Games believe a global release on PC is ideal for players on the platform rather than having the game rolled out in various territories on different dates, IGN reported.
Apologizing for confusion caused, Murray said there are reasons the studio has to remain mum at times. Retail compels them to be on PS4, he added.
In other news, a fan-made companion app for Android mobile devices has been rolled out just days ahead of the game's launch. Moreover, No Man's Sky's full soundtrack is currently available online.
It is worth noting here that gamers who received early copies of "No Man's Sky" will not have an edge over others, as the studio announced that the game's servers are being reset just before it hits the store shelves. Between that and its delay, PC gamers should all be on a level playing field when "No Man's Sky" finally rolls out for the platform in a few days.
