The Clemson University Police Department released video and still images of a white pickup truck that is suspected to be linked in the vandalism of the iconic Howard's Rock earlier this month.

According to the Clemson police, someone sneaked into the stadium, damaged the rock's Plexiglas case before breaking off a portion of the rock on June 2 or 3. The pedestal which bears the rock was not damaged during the incident and a new glass case now covers the rock.

One of the released videos shows a truck arriving on the east side of Memorial Stadium after 11 p.m. on June 2, and another video shows the truck leaving the stadium approximately 10 minutes later.

Clemson University Police Chief Johnson Link said that the video shows three people get out of the truck and walk towards the stadium, who maybe the perpetrators.

The university has promised a $5,000 reward for any information related to the incident.

The rock which is affixed atop 'The Hill' in the east endzone of Clemson's Memorial Stadium is named after former legendry Clemson football coach Frank Howard. From the time the fixture came up, it has been a pre-game tradition and good luck for Clemson tigers and coaches to rub the rock before running down the hill before each home game.

The rock was left uncovered until it was first damaged in 1992.Clemson coach Dabo Swinney expressed his disappointment and anger for disrespecting the school's tradition.
