'Pokemon Sun And Moon' Trailer Teases New Features And A Handful Of New Pokemon [VIDEO]
ByA recently-released trailer for the impending "Pokemon Sun and Moon" confirmed numerous new monsters and a slew of features which would enable players to attempt new things within the game. A brand-new ability dubbed, 'Ride' will allow players to hop on an array of still-unidentified Pokemon.
Among the newly-divulged Pokemon featured, Formantis and Lurantis, which are grass type mantis-based Pokemon were spotted, App Trigger reported.
Besides these two grass types, Minor, the initial form of Mudsdale was also found in the trailer.
In addition, quite a few old ones with new forms were rolled out along with the aforementioned new Pokemon. This group comprises of Sandshrew and ice-type Vulpix, as well as palm tree Exeggutor. Mudsdale , Sharpedo, Lapras and Charizard also made an appearance in the trailer.
Aside from taking the lid off some new features and new Pokemon, the trailer teased "Z Powers" which would enable players to access a super powerful attack every battle varying for each Pokemon type. The aforesaid attack is a combined power of a Pokemon and its trainer, VG 24/7 reported.
The new type of challenge dubbed, "Island Challenges" is expected to stir conversations among avid gamers as it may be substituting the gym challenge of the earlier versions. The trailer does not divulge many details about this though.
According to a statement released by Pokemon official website, it is believed that one aspect of the exclusive culture that has developed in the Alola region is the island challenge - a daring ride that include travelling through each of the four islands. Through this event, young people evolve into great Pokemon trainers. As a focal character of "Pokemon Sun and Moon," a player is bound to give this island challenge a shot.
Judging by this announcement, it looks like the gym challenges will be ousted in the forthcoming game.
In addition to these changes, the trailer also divulged new starter Pokemon including Popplio, Little and Rowlet and a captain leading every island included in the Alola region.
"Pokemon Sun and Moon" is slated to hit the store shelves for Nintendo 3DS on November 18.
