"Pokemon Go" craze doesn't seem to be mellowing down, in fact, several new gamers are joining in to capture, battle and train Pokemon, but competing in gyms is becoming a backbreaking task citing the horde of new gamers joining.

The nature of leveling up is somewhat different for the hit AR (augmented reality) game; contrary to gaining experience for Pokemon, XP/EXP is primarily based around the player, depicted in a trainer level that develops across the board as players perform in-game task.

A player's trainer level plays a crucial role in getting hold of better Pokemon and boosting those they already have. When a player level up Pokemon in his possession, he has an opportunity to get boosted along with them, and higher level trainers will bump into an array of Pokemon in the wild,VG 24/7 reported.

Here are five tips that will come in handy when a player intends to get the best out of what he has.

Leveling Up

While it may seem clear as a bell, it is crucial for a player to level up his trainer experience, which will eventually make a considerable difference in strength of Pokemon he can get his hands on, The Guardian reported.

Although getting experience points (XP) may seem quick an easy task, it can get a bit tiresome at times.

A player should visit every Pokestop, even if his bag is full as he gets 50XP from each. Plus, it is extremely important to pick up every Pokemon they come across because it will help the player grab at least 100XP from capturing them. Players using incense or a lure, or those who are on the verge of hatching some eggs, can use a lucky egg to gain a double point.

Get The Ball In The Circle

Making Pokeball land in the closing circle is important in terms of boosting the number of XP points earned from captures, where a player gets at least 10 extra XP points for every capture.

The smaller the circle when hitting it, the more chances of the Pokemon remaining trapped in the ball.

Curve

There is more than just one way of throwing a curveball. A player can opt to bend the throw on the screen just before release, or with the help of Pokeball, make small circles on the screen before releasing it.

Aside from getting an additional 10XP, player can boost his chances of locking the Pokemon in the ball, by landing a capture with the help of a curveball. An experienced player can fuse a curveball with the closing circle in order to get more XP points. It's not easy to hit the Pokemon with a curveball, meaning, a player should make sure he has umpteen Pokeballs well before making the first few attempts, Yibada reported.

Power Up Before Evolving

The strength of an evolved Pokemon is directly related to the starting beast, which implies a player should attempt to get his hands on the starting Pokemon with as much combat power (CP) as possible prior to evolving them. Using candy and startdust prior to evolving them is a comparatively cheaper way of powering up.

Quickening Taps And Swipes

Player's ability to tap and swipe during combat is a deciding factor when it comes to winning or losing. A single tap on the enemy's Pokemon delivers the standard attack. Alternatively, right after the attack bar fills up, the player can press and hold to release a special attack.

In order to dodge an enemy's attack, player can swipe left and right and save his Pokemon from being knocked out.
