Reached out for comment, D.B Weiss revealed that the production has to be delayed because of the need for 'real snow'. The showrunner explained how it has caused the starting a little bit later. And since the production starts this summer, GOT season 7 will debut the next summer.
As for Game of Thrones season 7 shorter episodes, the fans are quite disappointed with the network announcement. This marks the first time that GOT consists of only seven.
