"MacOS Sierra," the latest version of Apple Inc.'s operating system, won't be unleashed until fall, but a public beta is available that can be installed right away.

The technology company has revealed that the operating system for the series of graphical user interface - Mac, is now recognized as macOS, to keep it in line with other operating system names such as watchOS 3, iOS and tvOS. Apple's update this year will be dubbed as "macOS Sierra," and the operating system will be rolling out officially this autumn.

The milestone feature in the operating system "macOS Sierra" is called Siri. Mac owners can do just about everything they can do with Siri on their smartphone, and they can combine with everything they can do with Spotlight.

Questions can be asked like, "What's the weather in New York?" and "Show me the TXT files in my Documents folder." A queries can also be done like, "Get me directions to fast food restaurants," according to Life Hacker.

While Siri remained distinct from other Apple platforms, Craig Federighi (SVP of software engineering), showed audiences at WWDC how the computer program could prove beneficial on Mac. The intelligent personal assistant software made a prominent exhibition on how it can respond to complex questions.

Siri, which is also regarded as the knowledge navigator, can even access other parts of macOS that includes apps like iTunes, effectively making the computer program a person's personal DJ, Tech Radar reported.

The "macOS Sierra" can also let the users watch multiple episodes while they work. People can watch video links right inside Messages - when users received URL in Messages, they will actually see the photos, and even videos, right in the chat window. With that, the user won't have to open the images or videos in Safari first, based on the report of IMore.

By using compatible devices, "macOS Sierra" will be a free update to Mac users, Mac World reported.
