It's been years since fans have been looking forward for an official announcement that the science fiction video game "Half Life 3" is in development.

Even with no confirmation has been made yet, fans of the first-person shooter video game have been illuminated as new reports claim that the "Half Life 3" game is already in motion.

The revelation of the game surfaced after Pastebin posted a leak that the sought after sequel to "Half Life 2" has been confirmed, based on the report of Ecumenical News.

It has been said that "Half Life 3" would be formally publicized during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 2016) in June. But, no words came up to make a declaration.

Gabe Newell, CEO of the video game company Valve Corporation, stated that the only reason they would consider doing a "super classic game is if there is a plausible explanation behind the move, according to The News Independent.

However, since the video game company got their center of activity on developing something more in tune with the times, there could be a chance that fans would experience "Half-Life 3" in virtual reality (VR) format, Christian Times reported.

Alan Yates, Valve hardware engineer, made an indirect indication that "Half-Life 3" is being developed in virtual reality format. Apparently, the hardware engineer said he has begun collaborating with the AR/VR research team, which is composed of only a third of the workforce of Valve Corporation, according to Game n Guide.

Virtual Reality (VR) format is more like a trending at the moment and most games are making their way towards that direction.

As for its release date of "Half Life 3," there is no specific details has been reported. But, it has been known that the video game company will unleash the game during the franchise's 20th anniversary in 2018.
