Since the filming of the upcoming Sony and Marvel collaboration movie, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" has started, casting rumors have been spreading like wildfire.

Recently. casting rumors have been for the movie's villains and prominent actors that we're eyed for undisclosed roles in the upcoming superhero movie, but not really much news about who will be his love interest?

As with the previous incarnations of the webslinger on the big screen, fans are very much interested in the chemistry that he will have with his partner; whether it was the dynamic of Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy, or the 2 Mark Webb Spider-Man movies, since John Watts describes Homecoming as a Marvel movie with a John Hughes vibe, one may think that relationships in this movie will be a coming of age romance. Now which actress fits the bill?

They can de-age Molly Ringwald with the current movie technology, like what they did with Robert Downey Jr. in "Captain America 3," but that would just be weird. It has just been a few weeks since the new Spider-Man movie filming began, and there have already been a number of set photos in Atlanta that has been leaked, while there are several more cast members being added. Over the past week, names such as Garcelle Beauvais, Abraham Attah, Tyne Daly and Tiffany Espensenare already on board with the movie, although there are still no information on who they will be playing in the movie. Today, word has come out that the superhero adventure has casted The Nice Guys star Angourie Rice, Movie Web reported.

Like with recent casting news, there are still no details about which character Rice will be playing, and The Hollywood Reporter did not specify if she has already began filming in Atlanta yet. While the cast keeps expanding, there are only a few actors with confirmed roles, such as Tom Holland playing the lead role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, who were both introduced in Marvel's latest box-office juggenaut,

Captain America: Civil War. Marvel and Sony still have not released any official details about the movie's plot, but recent set photos have been taken on a speculatively Washington D.C. bound freeway and at a high school. The scene was reportedly during Peter Parker's high school field trip.

Neither Gwen Stacy nor Mary Jane Watson, two of Parkers well-known love interest have yet to be cast. And it is still unclear if either of the two will be included in this reboot. It is rumored that Angourie Rice could be eyed for Mary Jane, as her facial features somewhat resemble former Raimi Spider-Man actress Kirsten Dunst, though her blonde hair could also point to her as portraying Gwen Stacy. There have been whispers that Sony might be doping a standalone Spider-Man movie with Gwen Stacy as the love interest, so fans may be looking at Peter-Gwen pairing here.
