With E3 2016 on the horizon, speculations and rumors surrounding the list of games slated to make an appearance at the super- colossal event have been doing rounds. One such game is "Mass Effect: Andromeda," which was originally announced in 2012.
Today. during the EA Play Conference, EA Games unveiled an all-new footage from the upcoming third-person shooter and also affirmed the fresh details will be revealed this fall.
In the new footage advertised during the conference, a brand new Asari can be seen along with a new Krogan squad member and a female human character who, after waking up is heard saying "we made it," IGN reported.
BioWare's general manager, Aaryn Flynn firmly confirmed the game's debut is scheduled next year. "Mass Effect: Andromeda" along with a slew of other games including "Phantom Dust," "Sea of Thieves," "Ashen," "Recore," "Ion," "Gears of War 4," "Halo" and more will be gracing E3 2016's lineup of featured games.
If rumors doing rounds are anything to go by, the next installment in the "Mass Effect" series, titled "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will offer gamers a whole new experience boasting an open-world freedom, brand-new characters as well as enemy trap experiences ChristianToday reported.
"Mass Effect: Andromeda" will let players choose between a male or a female character and grant them the ability to drive the highly-cutomizable six-wheeled buggy, Mako, which featured in previous "Mass Effect" titles as well. In addition, it will boast a jet pack feature that players will be looking forward to try.
While players are waiting with bated breath for more details about the new protagonist and other characters, Bioware has promised gamers that the upcoming details are worth the wait.
Originally slated to debut in 2016, the release of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" was postponed to early 2014. The team behind the highly-anticipated game apparently needs more time to ensure they meet expectations of the game's huge fanbase.
In addition to rolling out on Microsoft Windows, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in 2017. Although the upcoming game is part of the "Mass Effect" franchise, it is not treated as the title's fourth installment.
