The latest discount offer on Nexus 6P is a clear indication that Google may be taking the wraps off the Google Nexus 2016 soon, at least that's what fans of the highly-anticipated smartphone think.

The Google Nexus 6P is now available at a discounted price with Newegg, B&H, Best Buy, Amazon, and Google Play Store providing different offers on Google's much-awaited smartphone.

Although all the aforementioned offers sound good, Newegg is providing the catchiest of them all, where a buyer can get the 128 GB Nexus 6P for $499. Aside from the phone, buyer gets a selfie stick and a screen protector in form of gifts when buying Google Nexus 6P, Yibada reports.

Strong rumors doing rounds earlier indicated that the new Nexus phone is already in the works at HTC, however recent speculations hint Huawei might be the tech firm behind the upcoming Nexus smartphone, in fact it will build at least two Nexus smartphones for Google.

Although the Nexus device is a very niche commodity, and much-admired by tech gurus, not many people actually buy it - that explains why Cellucity did not bring more than 300 in the country, Charlene Munilall explained.

Munilall, Huawei's general manager for the Consumer Business Group in South Africa explained that the operators do not usually take up the Nexus device. However, Huawei's market, and the distributors do bring in the device and that's exactly how Cellucity gets it. Munilall noted that nothing changes this year either as Huawei is working on the Nexus 2016.

The upcoming smartphone will mirror the cosmetic appearance of Huawei Nexus 6P and will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, ChristianDaily reported.

The search engine giant may augment Google Nexus 2016 with an array of awe-inspiring features including Google Photo backup. The smartphone will reportedly boast a 16 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front shooter.

Google Nexus 2016 will be available in two variants: 1) M1 and 2) S1 as tipped by acclaimed leaker Evan Blass.

Probably one of the most-awaited smartphones of the year, Google Nexus 2016 will debut at the I/O 2016 event. People are also speculating that the device's release is been delayed citing the ongoing development of the new Android N system.
