Asus just dropped off "Zenbook 3" at Computex 2016 and everyone was drawn attracted to the new laptop which boasts of ultra-sylph-like design and astounding specs. Asus' big reveal has just given birth to Apple's latest "MacBook Pro 2016" direct rival.

Listing down several aspects to spell out the difference between "Asus Zenbook 3" VS "MacBook Pro 2016," Trusted Reviews weighed in their performance, design and connectivity,

Apple's "MacBook Pro 2016" boast a portability of 13mm thick at its widest and weighs 970 g. However, Asus "ZenBook 3" debunks the current record as it weighs just 910 g with 11.9 mm slim width. The better color winner will be a harder choice because ZenBook 13 is available in Rose Gold, Royal Blue and Quartz Grey while the MacBook Pro comes in four colors: Gold, Rose Gold, Space Grey and Silver, Trusted Review posted.

Talking about display, the MacBook Pro 2016 shows off a 12-inch screen featuring a sharp 226 pixels per inch (ppi) of screen (2,304x1,440 pixel resolution). Conversely, ZenBook 3's screen is a shade wider at 12.5 inches but it only boasts a Full HD resolution of 176ppi (1,920 x 1,080 pixels). This difference could account for a discrepancy where color vibrancy is concerned.

ZenBook 3 is more affordable at a starting price of $999. It features an Intel Core i5 processor, 4 GB of RAM and 256 GB SSD. Its mid-range offering priced at $1,499 will feature an Intel Core i5 processor, 512 GB SSD and 4 GB of RAM while the premium line is priced at $1,999 will feature a Core i7 processor, 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB SSD, Game N Guide noted.

MacBook does not compete on this aspect because it already uses more efficient yet least powerful Core M processors from Intel and comes with the standard 256 GB up ti 512 GB solid-state storage and 8 GB memory, Trusted Review added.

Connectivity-wise, the Asus Zenbook 3 VS Macbook Pro 2016 comparison may be at same level, with both being fixed with a single USB Type-C port. However, Trusted Reviews said that Asus may start offer more options such as a 3-in-1 card reader, a standard USB and an additional HDMI ports and USB Type-C, CNET has reported.
