'Pokemon Go' Beta Test Reveal Disappointing Features Of The Much-Awaited Augmented Reality Game?
ByWhile zealous gaming fans are waiting for "Pokemon Go" to debut on mobile devices, rumors doing rounds hint the much-awaited augmented-reality game will make an appearance for the general public very soon, even as the "Pokemon Go" beta has gone live in the U.S.
Besides U.S., only few other favored countries including New Zealand, Japan, and Australia were given the opportunity to experience an actual "Pokemon Go" gameplay by dint of the beta testing platform.
Niantic, the team behind the forthcoming "Pokemon Go" game, recently hinted that they were almost ready to take the wraps off the highly-anticipated game. This piece of news quickly got rumor mills swirling several speculations that suggested that the beta testing phase is likely to be brought to other countries as well since Niantic did not divulge a specific release date.
That said, Niantic and Nintendo have stuck to the release window of "Pokemon Go," making no changes of any sort, which imply the game will be released sometime this year as scheduled, Ecumenical News reported.
Those who unfortunately are unable to experience the "Pokemon Go" beta testing in rest of the countries, are understandably inquisitive in terms of how exactly a "Pokemon Go" gameplay feels like.
According to one Australian player who tried the "Pokemon Go" beta, the game feels lonely. The unnamed player complained about lack of story content, besides absence of any type of progress indicator in the game.
The anonymous player also noticed that "Pokemon Go" beta offered zero social interaction, which results in players' inability to compete with each other face to face, Kotaku reported.
However, this could be due to the fact he or she played the game alone at night.
If "Pokemon Go" is likely to launch this year, Niantic is probably putting the final touches to the much-awaited game. The developers also summarized how the beta testers in U.S., will be able to test new features. One of these features encompass an ability to cause Pokemon to evolve, and the Venusaur monster which can also be earned in the beta test.
Nintendo is likely to share more details about the "Pokemon Go" in a conference scheduled to be held before E3 2016.
