Millersville University students will pay higher prices for their on-campus housing, food services and fees from the next fall semester due to increase in operating expenses and utility charges.
The university's Council of Trustees has approved increase in room and board fee per semester by $199 or 4.3 percent. So, the overall fee comes up to $5015 from the current $4,816.
"The university and the trustees were mindful of these continued difficult economic times and worked hard to keep the costs down," said Roger Bruszewski, vice president for finance and administration.
Similarly, the university has also proposed to increase the fee for under-graduates by $34.50 or 3.8 percent to a total of $941.25 per semester compared to the current fees of $906.75.
