Marvel's "Agent Carter" series on ABC has been cancelled and fans are desperate to save it. "Agent Carter" will end only after just two seasons and reports say that has been pulled out due to low ratings.

Something happened to Hayley Atwell's Peggy Carter in the "Captain America: Civil War" and she was also mentioned in the current "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" episode, CNET .com reported. This means that ABC has long well planned to pull the plug after "Agent Carter" season 2. It is not known what Marvel is planning for Peggy Carter but fans of the show are trying to save it with a petition.

A petition posted on Change.org says that the "Agent Carter" fandom wants the show to be brought to Netflix. Supporters who are very vocal about the cancellation wrote on the page and hoped that there will be new episodes after "Agent Carter" season 2. They believe that Peggy Carter is a strong female figure and her role is important for feminists and those looking for a strong female character to look up to. There are already more than 30,000 who signed the petition as of this writing.

As for Atwell, she has signed on to a new show on ABC called "Conviction," Comicbook.com shared. The website added the show continues after "Agent Carter" season 2, Atwell will be working on the two shows. As for other shows, ABC's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" will be the only Marvel show left in the network, The Hollywood Reporter noted. ABC did not pick the Marvel spinoff of the show called "Most Wanted" which starred Bobbie Morse (played by Adrianne Palicki) and Lance Hunter (played by Nick Blood).
